ECommerce Hosting/Design Sites
Hello Everybody,
I've built a couple of stores using hosting/design template sites. I wanted to get feedback on the best one's out there. So far, I've only come up with this list after a quick google search and would like to know everybody's thoughts, thanks!

I wouldn't pay a monthly fee but that's just my preference. I use CSCart, a 1 time fee for life.

I checked out cscart, it looks like you have to knock coding, true? untrue? Let me know. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the term "knock coding". Can you enlighten me?

Hi Estudent,
There are many factors you would want to consider, especially if you are on a budget.
Are you willing to pay for a service with an ongoing monthly fee? or perhaps you just want to buy the software outright with just one fee? or have you considered open source software?
In my opinion and recommendation, I suggest using Magento Commerce. It's open source and you can create customise templates. You can also host the whole site on a server of your choice, whether one you own or one you pay a monthly fee.
Furthermore, you can be assured that Magento Commerce is very easy to install and use and there is plenty of back up and support from the company.
I hope you can make a decision with this feedback.
P.S. I also checked out the site you mentioned and it's a good comparison for the paid services. If that's what you are looking at, then I would go for what they recommend.

Hi,
The reduced cost applies to the first month's fees only and does not cover any overage charges. After the first month has passed, the regular monthly recurring fee of your chosen package will be applied.Use of the ScanAlert logo is an additional cost.
30-day money-back guarantee applies to first month's hosting fee for small business solutions only. Please note this does not apply to SSL, design, marketing, or live chat orders, or one-time setup fee.

It looks really cool buddy, good job

The page itself looks very nice, but what about some of the more standard opensurce shopping carts such as osCommerce, Magento Commerce, and Zen Cart. I agree I would not pay any monthly fees and would find an opensource cart, or at the very least choose a one time licensed cart.

I am very new to this field so still trying to get around it. But honestly liking it as coming to know more.

The consumer moves through the internet to the merchant's web site. From there, he decides that he wants to purchase something, so he is moved to the online transaction server, where all of the information he gives is encrypted. Once he has placed his order, the information moves through a private gateway to a Processing Network, where the issuing and acquiring banks complete or deny the transaction.

You shouldn't pay period for a shopping cart system. Zen Cart, osCommerce and Magneto are wonderful solutions that cost absolutely nothing. Maybe there might be a better paid system but so far, I have not seen it.
On the other hand you should pay for web hosting and obtain a SSL certificate. This isn't that expensive but be careful who you sign with as a web host. You get what you pay for.
