SBS 2003 Access Denied User Rights Issues Happy New Year

using SBS at the house on a older machine. Seem to be having some user/securty rights that are driving me nuts.

When navigating through networking places to the network drives I can't create or move anything on the localserver drives. Example is trying to create new folders and get the "access denied" error. I have tried as the admin as well as a user on the network and no luck. It is my understanding these user/security rights should be set when the users is created. All users on my network are admin as I am the only user on the network.

Any ideas?

Running SBS 2003 for file and print sharing only. PC's and Laptop are running XP Pro and are on the domain.

Sounds like the automatic config hasn't worked properly. Rather than going through all the various issues of why it hasn't worked, return to the basics of any windows server - the sharing permissions (they are either read only or full for selected users - the normal practice is full for everyone) - and then the real one, NTFS permissions - which can be set to whatever you want for each user right down to indivual files. Both can be configured from the server itself - browse to the shared folder, go to its properties, and look under the respective tabs for both lots of permissions.
