Pro looking site. I can't see a thing wrong, at least not right off. I'll peruse further and report anything I find

Hey, Thanks! Appreciate you taking the time to evaluate the site.

I think your Web site is laid out nicely, is user-friendly, and the images presented on the main page is a clear and proper indication of the quality and type of merchandise you have.
One thing I noticed when I visited however, was a lack of incentive for me to buy right now (no Fall Specials, mark-down deal, or shipping discounts presented on the main page) - something that I use on just about every e-commerce Web site I've purchased from. After adding to the cart it might be useful, if possible, to display some matching or recommended accessories purchase (i.e. stockings or garters).
I also loved the fact that within one click I could immediately access your International shipping rates and information. Nothing annoys me more than finding out a "worldwide" store won't ship to Canada until AFTER I've shopped and hit check-out).
Just for the record I have to say this...
I'm not a fan of any pink Web site, but you do offer a couple different accent colors which makes it a little nicer (I find pink very difficult to read text one), but those fluorescent green check out buttons against the soft, gentle romantic like feel of the pink Web site is horrid.
Okay. I was honest. I said it.
Good luck!

Hello
Thanks for the feedback; that was great and I have to agree with you on the pink with dark pink lettering. I will have to come up and make a change; maybe black or a darker color?
We are working on the incentive and will build a special occasion in the near future; still adding products to the site.
As far as the neon green buttons, umm. That part is disappointing to hear but I respect what you have to say. I have looked and tried to match the colors against the color wheel to make sure it was complementary. Might be that it’s too much green? Or maybe in this case just throw the color wheel out and try something different?
Thanks,
Rolly

I know those button links do need to stand out, but I find it odd that they are a pretty bright colour which doesn't appear anywhere else on the site.
But hey - since I seem to be the only person who commented on it, maybe its just me?

Maybe but your input is still helpful.

Big suggestion that will really help your site with the search engines. Check out my post from this thread...
http://forums.smallbusinesscomputing...read.php?t=915
I explain how to make your url's shorter to read and understand by both a regular Web surfer and by search engines. After I implented this on my own e-commerce site (along with using Google SiteMaps.) my number of indexed pages on the major search engines sky rocketed.

TipPro,
Thanks for the tip and I understand what you are saying but I did what you wrote but nothing had changed. I tried both ways that you have listed, made some changes to the path but not too sure if it actually worked or at least it didn't work the way your example was shown.
I have seen this in other ecommerce sites, especially with osCommerce, and had always wonder why it did that and now I know. Makes sense.
Thanks,
Rolly

Hmmm, lets test to see if you .htaccess file is working.
Let's try a simple redirect. Create your .htaccess file and put this line of code into it.
Code:
redirect 301 /test_size.html http://www.elegantunderwear.com/size.php
After you save the file and upload it into your Web site try opening up your Web browser and go to the following url...
http://www.elegantunderwear.com/test_size.php
Your Web browser should be redirected to your size chart page (http://www.elegantunderwear.com/size.php). Tell me if this works and I will help you next with the actual rewrite code.

Okay, that worked but only when I did test_size.html. Was the .php a typo? If not, when I did go to test_size.php I get the 404.shtml page. On the other hand, when I redid the file to reflect test_size.php instead of test_size.html that also worked.

Actually, I found out how to do this very thing via the admin section and a contribute in the oscommerce web site. Other than the categories, all products now have an path output that you are talking about. Check it out and let me know if I got it correct.
This all makes sense now and appreciate your input and help.
Thanks,
Rolly

Yeah that was a typo in my last post, sorry about that. I checked out your site and product page urls are a lot better. Your category page urls did not change though.
Is there a way through OScommerce to take out the .php out of all the urls? If you could do that, then your urls would be perfect.
For example change...
http://www.elegantunderwear.com/prod...products_id/34
to...
http://www.elegantunderwear.com/prod...products_id/34
and even better if you are able to...
http://www.elegantunderwear.com/category/21/product/34
