Question....How is the best way to do this.....Say you are a website about dog training....What would be - or how best to put your keywords in to be your anchor text? I am assuming that the anchor text in question, would be a link back to your website - yes?

    Thanks.

Good SEO is necessary to attract customers to the website. More traffic will come when your website has good page ranks. Customers always visit the sites more having high PR. The searching plays a very positive role in marketing too.

How many of your customers even know what PR is? How many care and how many come because of your site's PR?

faith and free things. These sound good, but won't really bring traffic. To really generate traffic you must focus a lot of time and effort on seo (search engine optimization) or internet marketing. By optimizing your site with highly targeted keywords relating to your business, you will gain page rank. The better optimized you are, the higher your page will rank in a google search. The higher on the page (ie top 5 on the 1st page) the more traffic you will get.

Video is the best way to connect nowadays, and has pretty much replaced article marketing, but article marketing is definitely still viable IF you incorporate it into a more diverse strategy: content syndication.

Here's the 'traffic plan' I'd use if you want to jump-start some major traffic to your site, or attract customers:

    1. Get a blog for your store if you don't have one (as well as an account on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. More if possible, but those are the main ones)
    2. write 1-2 very high-quality articles on a daily basis (usually no more than 2)
    3. Submit that article to asa many directories as possible
    4. Turn your article into a PDF (you can use a free software called "Cute PDF"... just Google it, should be the first that comes up)
    5. submit the converted article to all 'document sharing' sites (like scribd.com)
    6. Turn your article into a video
    7. submit it to YouTube (also, for video sharing, you need to use either TubeMogul or TrafficGuyser. They will launch your video out to so many other places it's ricidulous, which will get even more exposure for them)
    8. Embed your video on your blog, then copy and paste the corresponding article you wrote underneath that video so you have a new blog post with both video and written content.
    9. Ping your new blog post using a service such as Pingler.com
    10. Update all your social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, etc) with the fact that you just updated your blog and you'd like some comments on it

...Those 10 steps are really all you need, and it should take about 2-3 hours each day, no more. After you do it a few times, you can crank it out even sooner, but that will drive some massive traffic to your site essentially on autopilot.

As far as long term benefits, the accumulation of videos and articles, if they're all good quality, will attract attention and set you up as an expert in your industry, which will tip the ball down the hill and cause people to come to you with or without new daily content.

That's it! I hope someone tries that out, it's deadly effective

or you could just use microsoft word and save as PDF

Keep your content original, do not just copy paste it from other sources
Advertise your products and services via the different social networks
Ensure you mention those keywords that users tend to look up in various search engines
Participate in discussions where your customers participate

A great post. These methods can certainly perform miracles if they are applied on a daily basis and with persistence. Even though I think I have read a lot of stuff on the subject I have never heard about the method followtom is talking about. This seems very wise and doable. Thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge, guys!

Great post! Yes the free content is a winning strategy.

If it is unique, useful and of high quality, it performs even better. It might even garner some natural backlinks for you, too.
    Warm Regards,

    Denise
