E-commerce site consultants
Some things you just can't "google" for fear of the coming tital wave. We have an E-commerce site and have been working for about 18 months to develope some decent traffic/business. We've done so much ourselves but just haven't found the right combination. I know there are TONS OF EXPERTS out there just waiting to charge a bundle with no guarantee to what you'll get in return. How can I find an individual with trackable expertise in this field that would review my site and offer specific suggestions or contract out on an hourly or task related rate? Our site is www.navshack.com and my email is [email protected].

That subject seems to be last on the list when writing code. Were so busy making sure that everything works, we forget to incorporate SEO optimizations to lure customers from the organic search engine results.
On the flip side of the coin, no one really wants to give away their secret sauce that makes their product work better than the other.
I looked at your site at it looks great. You got some of the needed stuff, but your missing a ton of other enhancements.
If I took the time to layout a road map for you, about an hour, you could make the mods in about a week, and see a huge upswing in organic results.
If you go to my site and look-up program features, most of the mods are listed in the checklist.
If you still need more help on it, just send me a message through my site and we can workout something cheap.

As the competition increases in the internet today, I suggest you should adapt and improve your websites. It should be designed in a professional and attracting way so that your visitors will hesitate to leave.

I checked it out again, and it's made by Volusion. Since you can't change the code, not much you can do about it.

Thanks for the input. So having a Volusion site will prevent us from doing what's necessary to reach a high level of performance with regards to organic traffic? Whow...the thought of trashing everything and starting over is nasty! However, I don't want to waste more time trying to fix something that is unfixable. Will visit your site and try to make direct contact. Need to hear more. Thanks.

I ran some test this morning on your organic search results, and it works fine. I googled
Furuno Navnet vx2 RDP148 Display
and it indexed at position 32 on the 3rd page. So Volusion has done a great job at getting all of your pages harvested and indexed correctly.
Furuno Marine Radar, Navnet vx2 Radar, Navnet 3D Radar
A radar is an extremely important safety and navigational tool that can be used on any size boat. Furuno's Navnet radars have a variety of options and ...

Better optimization would be to take the page Title tag and change the format to the bold words first, and the Furuno Marine Radar.
1 mod that can be done is to change the 1st paragraph of the short description to indicate that you a online store with great pricing and service, before talking about the product.
You may be able to do this in your product editor by doing some tweaks tothe data you inputed.

Glad to hear good news about Volusion. I'd "hate" to start over again. I posted a message on your site today. Would like to discuss more specifics with you. If you're interested, sent me an email to [email protected]. Thanks again for your input thus far.

I've worked with a number of sites that use Volusion as their cart. You can get some decent performance out of it, but there will be a point where it 'sticks' on you (meaning due to the inability to alter code yourself you won't be able to make some needed changes to get the maximum conversion out of some portions of your site.)
I've checked into this with Volusion (again, from working with others in the past) and they aren't ready to change that, but again, it will prevent you from getting to high above average levels, yet not prevent you from starting out decent.
What I have told others on this platform is to use it as long as you can if your budget allows, and then plan to make a move to a more robust system.
I sent you an email regarding more information on this as well. If you want to speak further about some potential opportunities, let me know.

I don't want to waste more time attempting to fix something that is unfixable. Will call your site as well as try to make direct contact.

I do not know of to many sites using a closed or hosted solution that do well. Suggest an application where you full control. While no one can guarantee success there are many out there that you will have a good shot at it. Takes effort of all concerned, with the right partners. Shop around and when one feels right and documents some success stories and go for it. Good luck!
