Different SEO activities play significant role in increasing the PR of the website... I think you should try to update the website content more often, one such option can be blogging and attaching the blog with the home page to attract the crawler on daily basis. Directory submission and article submission with a good mesh up of PR submission and e-mail marketing can be supportive activities.

How could email marketing help PR?

Good content always rule. Once your content captured the hearts of your audience, it will lead to higher conversion rates therefore, sites may create quality links to your site which aids in higher page ranks.

You can increase your site page rank by increasing back links.
back links increase your site traffic.

I dont think so..
Base on what I have learned, correct me if I am wrong,

Blogging isn't going to hurt your SEO efforts or your PR. Neither is it going to boost your site's SERPs, IMCO.
Update PR every three months? Not sure, Champ. It has always seemd to be in that neighborhood but never that definite, at least not from what I've seen.

Hey guys, I just read a 100 page e-book on SEO and have learned a lot.
Let me explain how to increase SERP. On page SEO efforts are the most important thing you can do for your website.
In short, you need to interlink your website together. Make sure that each link is keyword friendly. This is the key to success. Always have great content within your website that also includes keywords you want to rank for. Make the content relevant and not just keyword rich. Make the content flow, and when necessary link to other pages. This is important

Doing off-page optimisation doesn't increase your page rank overnight. Try to be consistent in doing those techniques and results will be great in the long run.

Yes, exactly....Page Rank will not increase in just a month, it will take 3 months SE like google will update each PR.

PR has very little, if anything, to do with SERPs, and SERPs have very little, if anything, to do with PR. There are tons of PR 0 and PR 1 or 2 sites sitting at the #1 position in all the major SEs. There are also a number of PR 5, 6 and even 8 sites sitting on the second page ... or worse.
In any case, if your site is #1, how is a higher PR going to help anything but your ego?

SERP is for your sales.....
