Importance of Google PageRank

Really a big conversation, but wants to add my views that Page Rank is still important, lets take an example that all of us know getting one backlink on a particular keyword from PR 4 website is really better than getting 10 backlinks from PR 0 websites, now see this in other way that we have a site of pr4 having good on-page optimization,we have keywords in our anchor text targeting our own internal pages, so in my opinion this will also considered as a link from pr 4, which really gives a benefit to that page...

Serps is everything! It is your position on the search engine results pages when a surfer asks a query about your keyphrases. #1 in serps means a fortune in free advertising. #1000 in serps means you need not have bothered.

Using the huge link structure as an indicator of the creature pages value, Page rank depends a lot on completely democratic nature of web. The page rank is consequent from a theoretical possibility value on a logarithmic scale like the richer scale..

Page ranks aren't of much important in my opinion. the thing that matters most for the web sites is the traffic. As long as you are getting sufficient traffic PR is the last concern.

I aggree with you very much , the Google of PageRank is very important , just like the website, if the rank of the website is in front , when the people search something on the internet , they will pay attention to it , so that they can understand the products or the company well .

It seems you're confusing Page Rank with SERPs.

So, what to do then so that your site will go to first page of search engine like google for example.

We said in prior postings that its more about content then anything. However, it does have to do with backlinks etc. Page Rank is just an indicator of how important a website is..like how much traffic a site has, content, and tons of other things that measure a website. Its very confusing, but all in all I dont think PR matters much

Okay, so how about if your PR increases, what's reason behind or how will that helps to your business?and if decreases how will affect this to your business?

If you want to promote your product , or make most of people know your company , i think the PageRank of the Google is very important , because when your PageRank of Google is in front , when people search it on Google , they will find your product or your company first , Maybe they will cooperate with you .
