the first thing to consider..?
What do you think is the first thing to consider in starting or planning a small business?

From my point of view, first assess your skills and passion towards any field. Then start looking for financial assistance or investment by you or either by stake holders. Analyze the possible ROI associated with this business. If all done correctly then make your move.

I would agree with Joe Micheal and put an emphasis on 'passion'. If you don't have passion for your business, if you're not willing to work at it 16 or 18 hours a day don't do it. If you do then things will fall in to place based on your hard work.

Good words you got in there.
If you are ready then, you need to consider good advertising strategies and a unified communication system.

Passion will help you love what you do. But determination will determine if you will succeed.
