But how do I get more visitors to my sites?

I'm using twitter a bit and am now in several forums, what else can I do?

You can do link building for get visitor, article submission, social bookmarking sites.
And many ways you can do. But the important things is patient and effort.

You can go with social book marking, directory submission, social media networking, forums & blog comments..are helpful in increasing the traffic for the website. Do provide appropriate link to get qaulity back link. Dont spam on blog while doing comment posting on it.

To get gud traffic from search engines...your site must have a very gud and informative unique content.....as all say content is the king.....doing OffPage Optimization (Link Building, Directory Submissions, SBM) u will get gud rankings in SE's..., and for traffic....twitter, stumbleupon, particpating in forum discussions, posting geniune comments............

There are many ways that you can generate free traffic to your website. You can use safelists or text ad exchanges. Right now I am using Google alerts for GREAT free traffic. The best thing about this is that they contact me and let me know they are interested in what I am promoting even BEFORE I ask.

It may help increase traffic beyond the initial landing page and probably would increase conversions if your site sells something, but I don't see how it would or could improve SEO.
