switch to paypal or not?
I am running an e-shop and wanted to switch to paypal to accept the payments.
But after I read horrible things about it I need to get an advice on whether sign up to them or not.
Here is what people say about it:

Is it true or not?
Thanks in advance

I've used Pay Pal for years and never, ever have I heard of such a thing happening. I can only imagine what these people might have done to have such a thing happen (if it's true).
Almost every client I have uses Pay Pal either Express or Pro along with other processors and not one of them has ever had a problem processing payments.

You'll find that every merchant account out there will have a few complaints like this. But, on the whole, Paypal is a solid and reputable merchant account. I'm not sure I agree, however, with your plan to switch to Paypal. I'd add it to your existing payment options. The more payment options you offer the easier you make it to buy from you.

One good reason why I consider PayPal is that it accept credit cards without a merchant account. It accept all major credit cards as well as payments from bank accounts.

I find that as long as you do not use PayPal exclusively for your online payment processing but rather use it as an additional payment option (still providing the ability for customers to pay with credit card using the traditional method through your merchant provider) it works just fine.
I use PayPal (just the free business account) to accept payments through that venue but my main form of processing is through my merchant account (outside of PayPal.) I have worked with a number of store owners who have used PayPal exclusively to accept payments, and in every case, there have been a lot more problems than with my traditional merchant account.
But again, if it is an additional method of payment through say the free business account (not Website Payments Pro etc...) then it works great and adds value.

Interesting comment. It looks familiar. Copy/Paste working for you?

PayPal is fine and is a well-established form of payment, the most popular of its kind. And It is reliable.
The only thing you should take into consideration is to properly organize your anti-fraud policy and not to ship any tangible products you sell to customers with non-veryfied orders.
