    Suggestions for B2B eCommerce solutions

I've been doing some research for a client on B2B eCommerce solutions. Key needs are:

    - strong shopping cart
    - ability to have centralized product catalog that can be used for multiple regional and different language sites (eventually)
    - ability to enable configurable products (that is, have base product, where some options are available, and others are not based on other option selections, etc.)
    - ability handle multiple payment options -- credit card, PO, paypal, etc.
    - ability to enable customer quote request generations

Currently the volume is low (have an existing site), but want to grow. When that happens, integration will be necessary, but not now. Integration would be on three fronts when its needed:
    - user authentication / single sign-on
    - into CRM applicaton for sales lead management
    - into order fulfillment process

Lastly, would like something that could be done as a hosted/managed or SaaS solution as well.

    Thank you in advance.

    hartmannma,

What's your budget? If you're looking for Saas or managed solutions that provide that kind of flexibility you're going to need a decent budget.

I would check out Magento. I think it can do everything you need right out of the box but it's not managed or SaaS. If you go the Magento route you could find a developer who does hosting and can also provide monthly support services. I provided similar services so I know it's an option if you can't find a SaaS solution.

Check out the Magento site too and look at their qualified service provider section to see if you can find a monthly support package.

Thank you for your feedback. I have been looking into Magento, and will take your suggestion to see if there are managed service providers listed on their site. I've already talked to one integration vendor, and have realized that the implementation cost with Magento (or similar) is not much different than something like ATG or IBM, etc.
