What are the inbound links and out bound links?

I wanna know about the definition and details information about the inbound links and out bound links. According to my information:
Inbound Links: Links on an external web page redirecting towards a web page.
Outbound Links: Links on the particular web page leading towards an web page.

Inbound links are links pointing to your website from other places on the internet. Inbound links send people to your website from other websites and are critical to the success of your website or blog.

Outbound links are links on your website that point to another destination on the internet. Outbound links send your website visitors away from your website to another website, if only briefly.

Both are back links, inbound link is directly pointing towards your website, then out bound link your website has links for some other websites.
