ASP and PHP based Shopping Carts

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and have a question. Like many here, I'm in the market for a shopping cart to replace my ASP order forms and am using a windows based host. I'd like to go with either an ASP.NET based cart like aspdotnetstorefront or a PHP cart like squirrelcart or others. I'm not a programmer but can get some help. Which, in your opinion, would be a better choice? For background, I have about 700 products to load (so batch loading capabilities would be great!), I already utilize Authorize.net for processing and would like the ability for my resellers to log in and see different pricing and order forms versus general public. Any help would be much appreciated.
My site is www.petsweloved.com. I mfr and sell a full line of pet berievement products. Any feedback on the current site is much appreciated. Oh, I would prefer not to do an OSCommerce site as I've tried it and the coding is beyond my knowledge.
    Thanks,
    Steve

If it's a windows server OS, then stay with MS techology.

Thanks. By MS Technology, you mean the ASP, correct? I know my host supports both as I have the PHP based OSCommerce loaded now (but not using). Any big drawbacks with using the ASP versus maybe a little more work to go the PHP route?
    Thanks again,
    Steve

If it's a MS database, then stay with a MS language, like VBscript, ASP.net, if it's a MySQL db then use PHP, if it's Oracle, you can basically use whatever you want. Serverside Java works well with it, as do most languages.

I built http://www.earthanimal.com. Its not asp its pure html however it would work well for you if you have under 10000 products. It fully integrates with UPS for shipping, Authorize.net for payment processing and the back end fully integrates with quickbooks for order processing. Because the software publishes the entire site in html it works very favorably with search engines and internet marketing. Earthanimal.com is hosted in linux, however Actinic software works in both linux apache and MS server enviroments. Its commercial software so it needs to be licnesed but in my opinion its worth ever cent. Download a free copy http://actinic.com
