How do I increase my site's Page Rank?
other than writing articles, doing regular web linking methods, signature linking, and adding my site to all other directories are there any other -- the latest -- way to increase a site's Rank?

You might check out Search Engine Optimization for Site Owners and Small Businesses. The longer a domain name has been active the better chances you have as well.

Thank you
Wow! Nice tip Corey! The site you gave me answered most of the questions I have set aside for sometime. Though it made me work longer now, I really feel fulfilled because I felt so productive. Thanks.

The idea behind rank is “relevance”. The search engines give a user the sites with a rank based on what should be the most important or most helpful based on their search.
So make your site more relevant. I know that is easier said then done;-) Focus on more inbound links from sites with good rank who also have content relevant to your site or people wanting to view your site. For your articles, one tip is to make sure the content is not too “deep” in your site directories. It is not just your main page that gets indexed and appears in sites, but also your other content pages. In other words….anything linked directly from the main page and closer to the main page makes the content appear more relevant. So if you want that content to be searched and appear more in a search it should be “closer” to your main page.
So…if your article goes from Main Page>>Our Articles>>Product Review>>Back Packs>>Non-frame Packs>>(Article content) the actual content, while indexed, might not appear at the top of the search rank…even if someone is searching for the exact product that you are writing about. The article is 4 or 5 category folders deep in your site. However, if your article on a particular item was Main Page>>Product Review Articles>>(Article content) for example, the search result and rank might be different. If you have it “closer to the top” it seems like you are saying the content is more important on that article, so the search engine will think it is more relevant for that search term as well. It might not be as organized for the user to search through a large amount of content items on your site, but it can help with the rank of that particular page.

Google Page Rank is way over-valued by many webmasters. It is not unusual for a website with a Page Rank of 2 to outrank a website with a Page Rank of 5. The reason is that Page Rank is only an indicator of one of many factors, and Page Rank is not even a reliable indicator, at that.
Google Page Rank is simply a measurement of how many pages link to you. Every page that links to your site gives your site a certain number of points. The number of points the link gives your site is determined by dividing the number of points that that page has by the number of links it has to other websites.
Google Page Rank (PR) is becoming increasingly unreliable. In the most recent update, millions of web pages were changed to a Page Rank of 0, for no apparent reason.
Page Rank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important".
In other words, a Page Rank results from a "ballot" among all the other pages on the World Wide Web about how important a page is. A hyperlink to a page counts as a vote of support. The Page Rank of a page is defined recursively and depends on the number and Page Rank metric of all pages that link to it ("incoming links"). A page that is linked to by many pages with high Page Rank receives a high rank itself. If there are no links to a web page there is no support for that page.
In practice, the Page Rank concept has proven to be vulnerable to manipulation, and extensive research has been devoted to identifying falsely inflated Page Rank and ways to ignore links from documents with falsely inflated Page Rank.

participating in blog directories and submit your comment on dofollow blogs with your blog link ..That will help you to drive more traffic

My question is that why is page rank important to you? It doesn't doesn't have much purpose. Page rank is a bit of a mystery as it is a number that seems to be experimental.
You can have a low page rank but do well in search results. jackson has points for SEO but this is different from page rank.
My advice is not to worry about page rank. Worry about getting traffic and moving up in Search results.

You can increase your PR by unique contents and theme related quality backlinks.

You need to link to high PR sites to be able to benefit from them and gain your site a PR as well.

Great resource for increasing page rank/google visibility
Page rank can really help you edge past your competitors but it can be tough if you don't have the know-how or the right tools.
My advice, focus on your niche and employ whatever tools you can to free up your time so you can work more on your content.
And, make sure you keep an eye on your competition's page rank and link backs. You want to make sure you are competitive in those two arenas if you plan to stick around.
Best of luck to you!

1. Update your website every day by adding more unique content. If you site has some information for a visitor then it is 100% chance for him to come back to your site again.
2. Provide inside linking to your website. For example you can provide a link of your previous and next articles on an article page. Or you can provide a list of related articles so visitor can remains a long time on your website.
3. Build a sitemap for your website (XML based for Google and text based for yahoo) and submit sitemap to Google and yahoo. Get a Google webmaster account and sign in there to see your website statistics. It will also tell you if you site is indexed or not, and your page rank in Google.
4.Trade your link with other web owners. Put their link on your website and they will put your link in them. This is for free and the very fast way to improve your visibility in search engines.

SEO helps a lot the PR of the sites.. I think you should work on this.
Also update your site 3-4 times a week helps a lot, and meta tags.

Submitting comments to do-follow blogs and forums will help you to increase the page rank of your website.
