What do you think of selling ebooks?

Yeah, there are lots of competition out there in that area, that notwithstanding I know that if you believe in yourself and you are reading to put in a lot of effort, it might just pay off.

It is a crowded market so it depends on what you're selling. If you have something unique that nobody else has then you might have a chance.

It think the eBook market is saturated to a degree, but if you have good content that people want, and need, an eBook can be very useful and lucrative.
That said, I think you must find a clever way to distribute your material. After much thought, I have a very unusual distribution method of my eBook "Selling Your Valuables in Tough Times". Now this is an important subject, on which I am an expert of 25 years. So I thought, we'll what is a sure what to get people to download and read the book. Here is my plan. Let me know what you think.

I'm looking at doing eBooks, but cannot figure out where to begin. What software is necessary to compile eBooks? What software is necessary to protect them from piracy?

I'm completely lost. Having to do it on a Mac seems to make the process about a million times more complicated.

Any help [recommendations, experiences, etc...] would be greatly appreciated.
