    Is Host Gator good?

I posted earlier about web hosting services and I have done a lot of research on Host Gator and have really heard a lot good about it. Has anyone on here had experience with it?

    Hostgator is a quality host.
Their uptime is great (did not experience any major downtime before). Support is effective (Problems resolved in a few email)

Certainly will recommend to anyone who is looking for web hosting.

I maintain three hosting companies, 1and1, theLinuxFix and hostgator. Both HostGator and theLinuxFix have been fantastic with their customer support and uptime. I wish I could say the same for 1and1

Hostgator seems to be more popular and probably on the edge. Just started the search shall update again when any information is collected.

Have been using Hostgator for several years & i highly recommend them.

If you have any script or perceived server issues they have 24 hour online assistance A+

I have also used Hostgator support several times late at night. I generally go the Live Chat avenue and have to wait 20-40 minutes each time but the fact that I can eventually get a real human to help me out in the wee hours is a nice feather in their cap.

I used godaddy for info only sites that don't get a lot of traffic, but if you expect a fair amount of traffic and your site is database driven, you'll need to move to a different host. I'm having pretty good luck right now with a company called realWebhost.com. I've had as many as 172 users on at one time and their servers never blinked.

I too use hostgator and im loving it. If you have any questions about scripts and what not their support is always there to help. I had 1and1 before I hated it no support and slow servers. I am actually about to upgrade to a dedicated server from hostgator as im on shared now. Served me well for a year or so but my website is growing and I need something more powerful

    1. Host Gator is the only "unlimited host" that is good.
    2. I don't know how Lunar Pages reached in that discussion, they aren't that good.

All you need is a crapy computer with server software and high speed internet, use a monitor mouse and keyboard to set the stuff up then remove the stuff and your done. A server does not need a mouse keyboard or monitor to work.
