    text question

on a site i made for a client, on the front page it has

    "welcome to Madison Oil"

he is questioning the "welcome", he sais its not good to have it there for searching reasons.

    your input?

    thanks

    The affect would be minuscule.

Page Title has the most affect. Best to keep "Welcome to" out here if that's what the client wants. But, in terms of content on the site, it will not have any noticeable affect.

I agree with BasicECommerce and furthermore they know where they are so it's redundant and a waste of space.

Yes, it is good, you can put some tags for searching.

Why Welcome? Use that space for some keywords if you can fit into. Always a good practice to start the title and the Body of text with the keywords.
