Future of Search
Found a new search engine that is, perhaps, the future of all search engines once internet connections and computers get even faster. http://melzoo.com
A split screen - results on one side, page preview on the other side.
No longer will you have to leave the SERPs to visit a page, find its not the one you want, go back to the SERPs, click on another, try again, etc.
This engine will not overthrow Google, Yahoo, or even MSN. But, they have shown the big boys something amazing. It is probably only a matter of time before they get bought up for the technology.
What are your thoughts?

On the one hand, it is pretty cool. But at the same time I found it a bit cumbersome. Maybe because I am right handed, I would expect the list to be on the right and the preview on the left.
-
I think the list on the left is best. After all, top left is where everyone looks first anyway. If that space is taken up by a preview, I imagine most users would be thrown off. I just love the fact that you can see if the page has what you need before clicking. I really think they're on to something.
Think how much you could save on SEM if searchers could preview your site before clicking (and charging you). High conversion rates and lower CPA.

I think it's a good idea and very well done. I have a problem with having so few links available per page and hovering on the link and waiting for the page to load is cumbersome. I like 'quick' and this isn't. I did find that the return for my query was good and that's the important thing.
-
I agree with JE. With the mouse in my right hand, it seems more natural for the list to be on the right and the preview on the left.
Either way though, I think I could get attached to something like this. Like Roban said. I like "quick".
Is the technology really new or is it just the idea and presentation that's new?

An interesting concept, but I don't think that it will be "the future" of how search engines are gonna to work.
People using older computers (respectively a monitor with a resolution of less than 1024*768 pixels) may experience problems and need to scroll more than required.

so best wishes to you and your new search engine
This is not my search engine. I just stumbled across it and feel that the technology may be something Google or Yahoo might look into and implement. Of course there are design flaws and CPC tweaks that may slow the process of mainstream integration. But, the simplicity is very impressive.

After using this engine a bit more, I'm not sure I like it at all.
Yes, it's handy, but I don't think I like people that start out searching the keywords for my e-commerce sites to ending up with readily-served access to so much about my personal Internet habits.

For the record, I hate the search results. They are not accurate. The only thing I like is the split screen because it makes searching for what you're looking for so much easier.

Hey this is excellent stuff form them, it gives a lot of flexibility to work randomly. I loved it and hope it gets ought by Google and is adopted by them very soon. Thanks for sharing the information.

Conventional search engines are so frequently used that their spectacular development will be not a surprise. Search Engine Optimization is now a vital part of every website life, so the Search Engine’s results are also vital for a Web site. It will be not the small firms that change the way of search; Google, Yahoo and Microsoft, the search engine powerhouses will take search engine technology to the next level.
We are all living a miracle; a simple and affordable device is allowing us to take a topic and scan millions of Web pages and in seconds bring back product announcements, names of experts, research papers, and more, much more… all those results are very difficult or impossible to find otherwise.
The immediate future is even more spectacular. The technology will find a way to personalize the search engines so that they know, for example, that if the user is an IT professional and he is searching for mouse, he is probably in need for information about PC devices than about animals. This Concept is called QueryTracker.
The next generation of search engines has arrived, the theme engines. Search engines must now fight a losing battle to provide relevant results while combating spamming and duplicate pages. The goal is the same, but the engines need a way to store more pages, combat spam, and still provide pertinent results.

New search engine is really good. Idea behind this is interesting and innovative. Placing the cursor and the website is displayed on the other frame is very good, but it's a time consuming process. Loading the websites takes lot of time and these days because search engines are indexing the flash content also webmasters are making there websites flashy. If the loading times would be less then it could be a great idea.

Thanks for your sharing.
Right, it does offer some really nice features on site but I think the result might be some out of date. Google and other search engines have all update my changes on my sites but I could find the newest edition of my title tags and descriptions on melzoo. It might need some improvement for this issue.
Thanks,
