    New eCommerce Blog (feedback appreciated)

Hello, we have recently put up a corporate blog - its the first time we've gone down this road. Its only been online for a few weeks so go easy. In general we are trying to acheive the following:
    • Provide relavent company updates

    • Provide our comments on industry news

    • Provide tips to our Customers and the broader online retail community

    • Begin to establish ourselves as an authority in on-demand eCommerce

Feedback is appreciated. Any ideas you have to help is much appreciated.

Nice blog... but I don't like the black background, which appears quite depressing.

Good info, but I would choose a more professional/business theme for it. That theme is just too much of a "personal diary blog" for me.

    Good luck,

It should be a layout that is unique to your weblog that makes it to stand up from the masses and(!) matches your target audience.

So how about taking one or two colours (e.g. ones you use already in your logo) and then create a layout based upon these. Same to the "design vocabulary" - it should reflect your corporate identity (waves = dynamic, creative; lines = reputable, steady; many edges = straightforward, tough; and so on).

Or to make it easy... the blog must have the same layout as your website. That's a very important aspect in my mind. I hate nothing more than visiting a website and taking a look at his blog that looks completely different (well "to hate" is maybe a bit exaggerated, let's say "dislike" ;-).

hi Sorry to say this but although the otent looks great ad maybe a resource i will often dip ito in time so thanxs However the design leaves a little to be desired the black backgroud is well somber ad as many who will be the target user group for the site read late into the night way to dark where as the pink is way to bright perhaps as suggested a rethink on the delection of this theme ad building pne unique to the site would be better

nice start on the content. i would strongly advise using something other than blogspot and having it hosted on your own domain - wordpress works really well. you will have far more control over your own blog this way.

The website is a bit dark... i dont think you necessarily need to change the black background but you could add some color to the page.

The problem with a black coloured background is that the site appears darker as higher the screen resolution is set (unless the layout grows with the width).

I just can agree. You surely spend much time to your blog. So what happens if the service that hosts your blog goes offline or suffers from data loss ?
