    Shopping Cart for unique needs

I am currently with Monster Commerce and just had my site migrated into the Network Solutions mess. My site is so very messed up at this time, that I had to shut it down. I am searching for a new shopping cart and have looked at Fortune 3 and Volusion. I am experimenting with the free trials at this time. I am wondering if anyone could help steer me toward what might work for me. I operate a "co-op" style business and need a retail site with a log-in section (ie member section). I do not have a lot of HTML experience, so need a fairly easy to use site. I have 900 products and use USPS for shipping. Some of my people pick up their orders as well. I also need to be able to have discounts on the actual product and not per customer. In other words, I have to show retail and have the discount show up in the cart. This may not be needed if I have the right log-in page. I prefer all inclusive since I would need the hosting and all.
Thanks for any help! I am still green with this ecommerce stuff!

So far everything you need is easily done with Volusion. You can set up pricing levels and assign them to your customers who then sign in to see the discount. We have that all set up on the Tapcostore site. You do not need any HTML knowledge to use it effectively, though it is customizable if you do know just a little bit. Their forum is filled with lots of very helpful and knowledgeable people who help each other out all of the time.

I have never looked at Fortune 3, so I can't tell you how it compares. All I can say is that I have been more than happy with Volusion. The only complaints I have heard at all concern bandwidth, but it has never been a problem for me.

Thanks for your response. So far, I have downloaded demos for Volusion, Fortune 3, Smartcart and 3DCart. I like 3DCart the best so far from what I can tell. I did not see a way to upload my products from a spreadsheet on Volusion, but will keep looking.

Any opinions on the above carts?
    Thanks!

Cs-Cart will do this as well. You can have any number of customer profiles and levels with discounts for each or for any product or category. You can also import csv files.

This was in another thread...? Look into osCommerce. I have never had problems with it and it has thousands of plug-ins for specific cart needs problems.

let me know if i can help,
