Affiliate Program vs Affiliate network

Whats the pros and cons between the affiliate programs and affiliate networks on this page:

I'm really confused about this, hope someone can advice me which would be better.

Basically you must differ between hosted solutions (affiliate networks) and self-managed programs (software is installed on your server). I would always go with the last option, since it provides greater flexibility and is cheaper on the long run.

Since I hate it to rate competitors' software products, I stay neutral regarding the product list you posted :-) Anyway, you may simply compare features and (most important) check for after-sales technical support availability.
