    Brick and Mortar Store

    Hi

I'm new to the forum. I have a furniture store that gets lots of internet traffic. We get calls daily from all over the country about our products. Since its furniture There are many items I cannot ship cost effectively. However several smaller items I can. How would you suggest I set up those items on the web to sell without making people think I can sell everything.

Set up a new site under a whole new company?

Set up a link from my website to access an online version of our store?

I built our site ( keep in mind I'm self taught) take a look. Its simple html

    www.bedroomsandmore.com

    I appreciate any feedback

The site is not bad. You may want to look into putting in "Buy Now" buttons on those items you feel comfortable shipping and a "Call For More Information" on the others. Personally, I would not dream of buying a large piece of furniture (sofa, large casegoods) without seeing them first.....but there are people who would. If you restrict yourself to only shipping to the continental US then that would help with some of the freight charges. Talk to some national carriers (Yellow, ABF) and get general freight rates before you write off putting products up for sale online.
