Ban access to server by Country IP Address

Hi

Due to recent hacking and sql injection hacks, and having traced the hackers to nigeria, korea and other countries, does anybody know of and add on to IIS that allows you to ban countries using the IP > Country Address database.

Have you tried MaxMind's GeoIP Country various solutions? These are what I have used to do exactly what you are looking for and it works perfectly.

They support a variety of programming languages and provide a group of samples with code ... one of which is an MS COM object with ASP. That application includes ASP sample code and sounds like it would fit you nicely.

Again, I use this now, and it works flawlessly for what you are looking to do.

Thanks for the info, its not quite what I was looking but is an option we can look at. I was looking more at something that sits on the IIS / Network layer. I guess there must be routers / firewalls out there than can do this, so maybe that would be a better option.

You should configure the router or firewall. If your site is running on shared hosting, it could be impossible.
