Where to find web stats information?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find more information about popular websites from different countries. The reason being is so that I can decide where to place my advertising to reach a specific audience.

Are there any websites out there that has statistics on this or am I being naive?

I think he wants hit counts for other sites so he can see who's getting the most traffic, before paying to place an ad.

If you want to get free information on a given website, look at http://www.alexa.com, http://www.compete.com and http://www.quantcast.com/.

There are paid services that can get you more detailed information.

Actually, I'm looking for a website that provides free info on hits and daily traffic. Sorry, but I'm not sure how the system works so pardon the question.

To me, it seems logical there should be a site that provides web stat information for free. There should be a lot of traffic going to that site because I can't be the only one looking for this kind of data?

With alexa you can find those popular site list, also check with business.com; http://alexa.com/browse?CategoryID=1

Hi there. I did have a closer look in Alexa last night. In fact, I found some basic information of popular sites by country! Fantastic!!!

Now I got a general idea of popular places of where people are going. This makes it easier for me to see where to place my marketing.

Thanks for all suggestions but best goes to infinate and top out for the leads.
