Think I made a mistake...

I just pruchased CS Cart and am looking ofr a hosting company. I was going to go woth Volusion as I would have been able to choose a template and insert categories and photos and so on. Now with CS Cart how do I build my site/store. I thought I read that I have to know programming for this.

Is that right?

I use CS-Cart and it comes with about a dozen templates. Everything is configured from the back-end so you shouldn't have a problem but if you do, look me up on MSN.

Well I just got Westhost aas my hosting service. I actually signed up with Hostway yesterday but am going to cancell them.

i have about 10 sites hosted with them. from basic to cms to carts, i think they are very good.

See what I mean, I have no idea what you mean by" do you have an FTP program". All I know is I have Westhost and CS Cart.

File transfer program. you will need to upload by that because it will upload all of the files and folders and keep the locations intackt.

I contacted westhost and they gave me all the info that CS Cart requested to load the software onto the server. I guess that is what I paid the $40 installation when I purhcased the software. Also the tech person from westhost got me into the control panel and had me download two files. There were MANY files on there..paypal, streaming all things that seem like I should have but they look like they have to be downloaded. Ima learning......I guess.

good, it was a goodidea to purchase the isntall. i did too, that was before i knew how to do it myself. they are very helpfull at WS, contact them whenever you need to
