E-Commerce bank account for an UK Ltd
Hy,I hope this is the right forum.
My issue: I own a ltd company in UK and I need to open a bank account. I sell ONLY from the web at www.dpctech.net and so it would be great to have an e-commerce bank account. But I also need to make outgoing ban transfer to pay my distributors, I need credit card, IBAN code, etc
What is the best bank account for an e-commerce website?
regards
Alek

It's not neccessary to have bank merchant account in order to sell online. You can use merchane services provider such as authorized.net, 2checkout.com... , My clients used these and they are pretty good.

Tnx Tex, but I also need a normal account to send payments. How can I do?
I couldn't find a bank that can give me a normal account because I'm not living where my company is. But if I work and sell only online and my products are prepared and shipped from different countries (NL,DE,IT,ecc) how can I do?

Since you are in the UK, Authorize.net/Cybersource might not really be able to help you out. This is only an electronic payment gateway (like LinkPoint / Payflow). You still need a merchant account to accept credit cards. Authorize.net currently just supports US merchants. You can get a US merchant account, but you need at least a US Bank account, US address, and US Phone number.
2CO and (some versions of) Paypal are IPSP (Internet Payment Service Provider). They allow you to use their merchant account and their secure website to accept credit cards.
You might check out HSBC and Barclay's to see what they might be able to offer you
