About safe storage
Which are the ways that we can store data apart from HDD, Floppy, CD and DVD?
I have faced issues of losing my datas due to HDD failure. I had no any other storage devices then. Is it practical to use external HDD to store datas?
Which are the best ones available today, and what does these cost?

You can use flash drives,blueray disks for storing data.In most cases using external HDD is practical.You can use sata external HDD.

If you got a broadband connection opt for online backup services. There are a large number of free online backup services such as ADrive which offers upto 50 GB of storage space for free.

You can use external hard disk to store data but I prefer optical storage device such as CDs & DVDs. You can also use re-writable DVDs / CDs for temporary data storage.

yes, I agree, but with online backup I can access data from anywhere, no need to carry the hard drive every now and then. Online backup comes handy when you are traveling. But you should take ultracare while selecting a backup service. Make sure you choose a reliable and secure service.
My current online backup provider BackupandShare.com is taking good care of my precious data, so far fantastic service from them. Very cost-effective and user friendly!!

You can get external usb HDD. They are $80-90 for 1-1.5 TB.
The online backup solution is a good one. Many of my customers use the one I offer and are happy with it. It will depend on how much space you need.
