9/11 An Anniversary We'd Rather Never Celebrated
Living on Long Island and being an EMT in our local fire department we were activated on that day. We stood by close to but not in the city but close enough to see the cloud of ash rising in lower Manhattan.
We will have a service with other departments today remembering that horrible moment that is frozen in time and memory. Those who died in the Towers and those who run towards danger when others run away.
