If this post is in the wrong place, I apologize.

I am trying to find out what others who drop-ship are using for shopping carts.

I am a newbie and intially, all of my products will be drop-shipped, so it is imperative that I get it right.

For alot of reasons, I do not want a custom system built, and want a hosted solution. I'm trying to take as many things out of the equation as I can to make it as simple as possible.

So far I have found the following hosted carts that have some sort of drop-ship capability. What I'm trying to find out is just how good they are at it. We all know they say they can all do everything....

3D Cart - I have not heard good things about their customer service

Nexternal - nice software, great customer service, very expensive monthly fee for a new business

Core Commerce - They get high ratings all around, just don't like their templates - not the "high-end" look and feel I want.

X-Cart - Just started looking at them. Heard their software difficult for a newbie. They also charge for customer service, and again, budget is a concern.

Can anyone comment on these or recommend others to look at? There must be some people on this forum who drop ship and didn't have a whole shopping cart custom designed.

I will be working with a web developer, so I intend to have the front-end customized, and the shopping cart as well as much as possible to get the "look and feel" that I want. What I don't want is to have to depend on the developer forever to be able to make product changes. So a system that is easy for a newbie to use is also imperative.

It appears the "easiest" "turnkey" solutions like Yahoo Stores and Amazon Webstore do not allow much customization, and also don't really handle drop-shipping.

Any help would be much appreciated, and again if I have posted in the wrong place, I apologize, and please let me know where I might be able to get an answer to my question!

Thank you.
