Business Management Software Help
Hello,
I’ve been reviewing this site for sometime - what a great information resource.
I would like to solicited feedback from business management software users. Specifically I’m interested in users who operate using software that in there judgment would be complimentary to our outlined requirements.
About Us - We are small niche sporting goods related internet based company. We evolved in the past 5 years from a “spare bed room” hobby to a 1.8 million in revenue business for 2007. In addition to our online sales revenue stream, we distribute a full color catalog (mail order sales), and maintain a toll free order line to support for our print advertising.
We do ZERO walk in POS / traditional/ retail sales.
We stock approx 100 different manufacturer product lines (couple thousand SKUs). We drop ship 1 item only. Currently we are using a grossly outdated shopping cart (King Cart), MS FrontPage to maintain our web presence, manual pen and paper phone orders, Peach Tree Accounting (not all aspects). We operate from a leased warehouse. 6 employees (including me and my wife). Needless to say, our current hodge podge of systems is limiting our growth and customer service.
About my basic requirements:
Full implementation budget up to $25k with reasonable annual fees
Most important issues I'm trying to address within my business are:
1. Complete website shopping cart make over (with customer order / shipping status, up sale, loyalty/repeat customer discounts, etc..)
- Prefer that new system have an included shopping cart that meets my requirements
- I must maintain ability to quickly and easily up date web/shopping cart content
2. Fully integrated website, phone and mail order sales system / database
- Full, easy, and quick visibility of order & customer info
- Quick real time notification/processing of online orders
3. Complete phone order module (similar to MOM)
4. Full CRM capabilities
5. Basic Accounting modules with GL’s
1. Future - Integrating bar-code scanning for shipping & receiving
Things I’m not interested in doing
1. Maintain an on premises server - Must be hosted
2. I currently contract out all Payroll related functions
3. Traditional walk in retail sales
If anyone has a similar business operation or guidance on the programs that may meet my requirements, please feel free to post or contact myself
