    Web Hosting Solutions (GoDaddy?)

    Greetings all,
I signed up to this forum seeing that it has a good knowledge base. I've read alot of the threads and everyone's comments seem excellent.

As for me, I have a small question that some of you might be able to help me with. I am currently thinking about migrating my website onto a new host.
I am currently with Milescape.com and have been noticing terrible downtime this past 3 months. One of my options is to go with GoDaddy.com as it also offers SSL services.

Does anyone here have any experience with GoDaddy or would know of any web hosting that offer great service and guaranteed uptime.

    Thank you,

I use godaddy but mine is an info only site. I've recommended them to all my clients and so far haven't had any problems at all. They have good support 24/7 and seem very cheap and reliable to me

Thanks JPnyc! I've been having a hard time getting in touch with my current host. I write to them and it takes 2 weeks to reply... so yea... Excellent! thanks for the info!

my host also has reliable service, and 24/7 customer support. Never actually tried calling at 3:00 am before though. Overall yourecommerce.com hasn't let me down yet. Had it for 8 month now.

I've hosted with yahoo the past 2 years and haven't had a bit of trouble either with downtown or with customer service. They also offer SSL.

I use sitekreator.com for my hosting. Actually it's a free online website builder that offers free hosting with your site. I have no complaints about them - their support is really fast.

Alot of people using GoDaddy, I use it for an information site and have experienced no problems whatsoever. The only problem problem I have with them is their constant attempts to get me to upgrade or purchase other things, their signup process was a pain in that regard.

I have used www.virtualempire.com for the last 5 years. I was only down 1 1/2 days (that I know of) during this time due to construction cutting their buildings fibre optics. Other than that, no issues. They have been quick to respond to questions and were helpful in setting things up when I was new to the deal.

    Customizing my site

Sorry to stray from the current thread. But, ...

I want to be able to design my own website. Are there any hosting companies that are flexible in dealing with my design/layout? And, if I had to choose a host that provides a decent selection of pre-designed templates, which one(s) would you recommend. Thank you for your input.

Yahoo definitely has a ton of nice templates you can choose from using their software. I found eBay ProStores' templates to be borderline lame. I believe MonsterCommerce has nice ones as well.
