    Queries in e-business

    Hi everybody,

    I just want to ask a few questions regarding electronic business. If you are setting an online business in the first place:

    1.What will be the best way to let the customers know about your web
    sites? Since you are still new in the business, the customers
    probably will never know about your websites.

    2.How can you get customers to trust your sites in the first place,
    since people will feel reluctant to purchase on the sites they have
    never heard before?

    3.How do you maintain your customers’ loyalty in the online business
    environment where you cannot really interact with your customers?

    use brochures, television, radio, put in the pop up window in the web that related to our business

    2.How can you get customers to trust your sites in the first place,
    since people will feel reluctant to purchase on the sites they have
    never heard before?
    give the contact details that available 24 hours and the office address that customer can come if they are not sure about our business existance

    3.How do you maintain your customers’ loyalty in the online business
    environment where you cannot really interact with your customers?
    we can distribute the voucher, free stuff, or if the customer buy the product they will get point that can be redeem with the next product they want to buy. another way is build the video conferencing system or group discussion where they can share their experience with other customer

    1. there are many ways to let customers know about the your company website since you are new in the business, such as state y0ur company web address the advertisement of your company, such as in brochures, tv, radio, etc. Also, you can make your company website searchable in the internet search tools.
    The other ways is the advertising from mouth to mouth, which is traditional but its more effective, consider not all of our prospect customers have time to watch the tvs, listen to the radio or read out the brochures they got from the street or somewhere else.

    Prospect customers of course will be more confident to buy from the net if the company can provide a good security to the customers. such as they have to guarantee everything losses occured by the customers in trading with their company. They have give the customers 100% secured. Also, for australian company, they have to be searchable in the http://abr.business.gov.au ato http://www.search.asic.gov.au/gns001.html

    3. To maintain the loyalty of customers, both of the quality and the price must be reachable. The product that you advertised in the web must be the same as the product you delivered to the customers.
    The most important things is the security of purchasing in the company,which is to get rid of the hackers. Others, give away any awards for loyal customers, suchs collecting the point of purchase so that they can come back again to buy other things in cheaper price.

    1. Register ur site with search engines (eg. Googles). U can also try putting your products in online auction sites (eg. ebay). this can be quite useful, especially if people r happy with ur service

    2. You have to at least display your contact details (address, phone, etc) displayed, as well as your business registration number. Additionally, you can explain to ur customer what type of security are you implementing (SSL, etc) and how do you store information of the customers (to ensure their privacy).

    3. How do you maintain your customers' loyalty, even if you can interact with them? :P
    You need the have competitive price, good customer service (reply emails, be friendly on the phone,etc), make sure goods are delivered (you can provide shipment tracking, for example)

    As what I have know from my friend that has ever run e-commerce business, the best thing for you to do is to join the online public portals which is popular already, such as yahoo.com, or *******.com. Therefore you do not have to waste your time to market your site. By providing your company details and put online catalogs in the online public portals, people can easily notice your sites. Since there will be many people will go to the popular online public portals to search for what their needs.

    By using popular online public portals, you do not have to worry about the customers trust anymore. If customers are going to the online portals to buy and purchase goods, it means:
    1. They have a confidence with e-commerce.
    2. They have trusted the online portals already, it includes any business that has been registered with that portals.
    3. Not all people can register with the online portals. Only those, which can comply with the online portals requirement that can be registered. Therefore online portals will always protect the customers and the sellers.

    In order to maintain your customers’ loyalty, it will depend on what sort of business do you want to get into. From what I know, I think it will be best if you are able to customize your business towards the needs of every single customer. For example you can offer different products to different customers depend on their previous purchasing records or the customers interest. By customizing, you don’t just maintain your customers’ loyalty only, it will put you towards the point where you can start to differentiate your business with other competitors.

    use magazines especially e-commerce magazines, brochures

    2.How can you get customers to trust your sites in the first place,
    since people will feel reluctant to purchase on the sites they have
    never heard before?

    provide a forum for discussion, show some comments from other customers

    3.How do you maintain your customers’ loyalty in the online business
    environment where you cannot really interact with your customers?

    give the best performance to them (deliver the goods at the right time and at the right place), guarantee the products,customer service online (24 hours)

    1. To let the people know about ur web site, we can make an advertising, make a poster to put it in the place where people can easily look at, give away that poster to the people pass through the street, in the train station, shopping mall, or other place where posibility many people gather. To make it more effective, u can put the advertising in the tv, newspaper, magazine or radio but of course it will cost u lot of money. So, it depends to how much is ur budget.

    2. To gain a custumer trust, guarantee the customer that its privacy will not show to everyone else and the payment is completely secure.

    3. Any new information about ur company, send it to ur customer by email, mail or for the regular customer u can tell it directly to them by phone.So, the customer will feel that we threat them nicely, and not forget them. One think, if its posibble, try to remember what kind of product that 1 customer particularly like, they will be very happy with that!

    The best way of marketing your new site & driving traffic is to :

    First and foremost, submit you website to all the major search engines. While there are numerous search engines on the Internet, getting listed on the top 5 search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL & Ask Jeeves) will generate the most traffic to your Web site.

    It is also important to keep in mind that on-line advertising is now accepted as the best and most cost effective way to drive traffic to your site. Banner ads, when placed in appropriate Websites can prove to be instrumental in driving traffic.
