DMOZ was never intended to be an SEO tool or listing service for webmasters. Like the hammer, if it's misused, the results will likely disappoint.

Enlisting your website in DMOZ has not paid us back. DMOZ did not perform well and for that SEO techniques attached with this did not work out properly.

Submitting your site to DMOZ may be on your list of SEO steps, but I assure you, it is not on DMOZ's. DMOZ is not, and never has been, a lsiting service or SEO tool.

That is a direct violation of the rules and guidelines for submission. You're supposed to submit only once to the most appropriate category. By submitting "hundreds [of] times", you've likely caused your site to be banned for spamming the submission process.

Attainment to DMOZ is extremely hard. Not for the reason that they make it hard, but as they don't have sufficient editors. Once you submit it you need not remember that also.
