I was wondering if people could share what are some of the things that they feel are big problems for eCommerce websites. For example: optimizing the shopping cart, tracking where traffic is coming from, where users click?

This step would be essential for a successful online business, IMO. Then, you might want to select some powerful and flexible e-commerce scripts like zen-cart and build your own sites. Of course, the most important thing would be promote them online. You could use social media for getting instant traffics and SEO for sites would be a long period job.
