URL redirection at the host server level

    Hi All

I want to clarify one thing about http://www and http:// for a site.
I have seen few sites use http://www.site.com. how ever you may type with www or with out www it will redirect to http://www.site.com

I have aslo seen site with out www.

What is the difference between these both and which option would be the best one to use for a site.

I except good replies from you all

    Thank you

Unless I'm mistaken, all URLs default (if that's the correct word) to www no matter which form you actually type. I don't think there is any domain without the www, it's just that some don't bother showing it.

Think of it as a conversation between two people. You don't really have to speak the other persons name. He/she knows who you're talking to whether you use their name or you don't.
