Interprise Suite - Dead or Alive?
Can any of the Interprise Suite resellers (or anyone) give us an update on whether they feel IS is still viable? I am invested in the software, but I have not carried it very far and I don't want to spend any more time on it if they are fatal. Their present silence is eerie.
I have been scouring the forums here and around looking for a peek inside the mind of Interprise Suite. I have been looking for any signs of life and I had to hold a mirror up to their nostrils to find a shallow breath. I told them repeatedly to stop their moderated posting and let it flow freely (since it takes them what seems like a week to approve a post). With their DotNetNuke install, they could have easily configured permissions for licensed users, if they wanted to screen the public. Now, their own forum is DOA and other forums are gasping.
What's your take?

Interprise Suite is still Alive
Hey,
It's surely alive and floating in the current economy, we are resellers in east coast and we are working with them from past 2-3 yrs and are taking clients live with 5.3.2 version.
Are there bugs/issues? yes every s/w does have issues but its upto resellers and ERP implementors to work through them so it doesn't affect business owners to conduct their business, that's where resellers step in and shield your business.
It's tough market now, companies are cutting corners and I assume IS is also cutting its workforce to stay afloat, Taylor has invested which would keep the Company going into 2010 and hopefully we will see the new version released...
Forums or discussion boards are like "double edge sword" you never know which one pricks, hence most forums are moderated, even small business computing forum is moderated just to keep the post/replies by the rules...

You know what the OP meant by moderated. The connected business forum is ‘so’ moderated it does not function
I once replied (helpfully) to someone. It took 22 days to appear

Dont conisder is
No reseller can help you face the problems you are going to have with the software and the fundamental problems with IS / Taylor corp.
In the end you will be out of you money.

This is so unbelievable. I knew times were looking tough before the Taylor acquisition, but I surely thought Taylor would infuse it and get it done. My world and view may be very small, but I really thought this software was the cat's meow, and would fly high and catch on quick.

Yes you will be VERY sorry you wasted your money on this product .

Suckered in too
I was suckered in with the promise of all being fine after the Taylor acquisition. Instead it has gone downhill even faster. I am out a large chunk of money. I was told that our company would be up and running and we would be the "poster child" to tell everyone how wonderful and fabulous Interprise is. After months of time with implementation, there were so many snags in the system, I wondered how could Interprise possibly function with the amount of problems with set up? For anyone using Interprise successfully, here is your chance to speak out. Anyone?? I will forever regret my choice to go with Interprise. Please don't make the same mistake. We are now trying to recover from the over $20,000 investment.
I believed in this company and these people.
Please pm me privately if you'd like to discuss.

Successful Interprise Suite Customers
Louie I hear your comments, however I wanted to mention that we few successful customers up & running Interprise Suite for their business. Just want to give you few facts, other than that I feel bad that you invested so much and haven't seen the fruits of it.
Interprise Suite Customers who are live:
1. Quilters Warehouse has been running since May'09 migrated them from Everest Software to Interprise, their backend, retail and e-Commerce is powered by Interprise Suite, read more about it here.
2. We recently launched Hips and Curves on Sep 1st' 09 it took us 3 months to migrate their data, customize their website, optimize their products for search engines and go live visit www.HipsandCurves.com
3. We also have PotomacPaddleSports in Maryland using Interprise and their POS software for over 6+ mths
All these websites had few issues or concerns or bugs with few limited features, but they all are up and running their business. We helped them customize few features like Paypal, item matrix import, SEO plugins etc so they could operate normally.
We are here to help any small and medium business using Interprise or other ERP software, let us know if you need any help.

We want our money back....
I'm glad to hear you say that Infosourcing...
We bought the unlimited user version of Interprise - plus 5 e commerce stores very early while they were having the most problems - it didn't work for us and we could not wait any longer without an accounting and e commerce system.
Interprise will not give us our money back and told us to sell the software on eBay. So far we haven't had any interest.
You seem to be tuned into people that are having great success with Interprise - perhaps you can suggest where the best place for us to find people ready to make the plunge into Interprise and wouldn't mind saving some money on their investment. The Interprise forum doesn't seem to be very active or we would try that. Any ideas?

More Info
Hey cre8tiv,
I hear your concern like we do from others not just with Interprise but with other ERP softwares too.
We have developed our own implementation and support strategy unlike other resellers which enable us to evaluate our client needs and service them.
We don't over sell nor undersell so it helps us in long run and we are focused in taking our clients live.
If you decide to sell your licenses do contact us and we will try to help you to save money, if you decide to use Interprise then we can implement & support for you too.
Regards
InfoSourcing Inc

Interprise problems !
Hi to all - i have just found this forum and thought i'd add my comments. Over the last 18 months we have been creating a web shop to go with interprise - kind off reverse engineering it so the shop looks more professional anyway we hoped to go live with the whole installation in May - we distribute industrial control products so stock control order processing etc is very important to us. I have now discovered though that it would seem as though there could be a serious problem with interprise correctly keeping track of stock etc and "fixers" having to be run on a daily bassis ! if this is the case then is the software unfit for purpose ? anyone who buys and sells items needs to have 100% faith in the accounting package they use as the implications for VAT stock valuation, stock quatities, nominal valuations etc etc are potentially huge ! I have halted our work on the system until we bottom this issue as i can't take the risk all is not right. i have also asked for a refund as we i now see this as not fit for purpose - we can't run fixers and then do stock takes to verify the fix on a daily basis - get real interprise !
Can anyone shed any light on this issue at all ? Interprise went very quiet after downgrading us from V5 to V4.?? to sort out other issues and then only reappeared when maintainence invoices didn't get paid - they offered to extend the maintainence period by a couple of months for immediate payment of the invoices ! that rang alarm bells straight away. I look forward to some good news - if there is any !

I had nothing but problems with Interprise. Paul I can completely understand where you are coming from - it can completely stop a business in its tracks when something like this goes wrong. I wish I knew the solution to the problem, Paul, but I think the best thing might be to drop Interprise and start afresh with a new system.
