Hey guys! Whats missing here?
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum...I'm Googley!
I've been planning my business website (online store selling specialty items but that also offers LOADS of great content relevant to the market I'm targeting) for a few months and here is what I've got so far. Tell me whats missing please! Thank you.
1. Domain and hosting with GoDaddy.com and Website Tonight. The domain name or website name is keyword friendly because it's a combination of two of the most popular search terms relating to my product. 100 percent HTML. It's also a .com.
2. 15 of the most popular keywords relating to both the content and my products in my meta tag thing.
3. An e-mail newsletter that offers you excellent content, information and lets you know when our most exclusive goods are being launched so you have first dibs.
4. LOTS AND LOTS of content relating to the product, how to get the best from the product, and content relating on how to enhance the product for free. ALSO, content that doesn't directly relate to the product but directly relates with my markets particular concerns and areas of interest. The content is also sprinkled (not loaded) with NLP patterns for good measure, and it just works 
5. A real testimonial page with 2 dozen testimonials from real people from all over the world.
6. An "about me" page, to ensure that the customer doesn't connect with a company but rather an individual. In this about me page there is also credibility being built by naming major companies that I've been trained by in the past.
7. A customer "avatar", which is basically all the qualities that my customers have in common and mirrored back to them in the form of a "personality" or individual because people want to connect to individuals and not companies. It's supposed to offer the product in such a way that it meets their particular needs and wants.
8. A short page explaining all the benefits they receive by just being on the page, let alone buy any products in a way that is smooth and pleasant, not pushy or odd. Used a little touch of NLP there as well.
9. Colors used on the website that are soft and pleasing to the eye, not harsh or really bright. It's a simple site.
10. Instead of placing all my products on the first page and pushing it on people, I decided to take a more soothing, calm and curiousity building approach. The homepage starts off with the company slogan on the top, a small quote by a famous person next to get the customer thinking and build credibility and then I include a small "welcome to...!" then I start off with a "Dear friends" letter that shows an understanding of the customer and a call to action followed by a "sincerely Googley" and that's it. Tiny bit of NLP in there too.
11. A product page that shows all the products that they can have now, with pictures of all the products being used in all it's forms thus showing versatility. Accompanied by a small, friendly, unbussinesslike description and a vague suggestion to get the customer to visualize themselves using the product sucessfully.
12. A seperate product page with the more exclusive products that only those who subscribe to the mailing list can buy. These products are scarce and rare, so the mailing list serves to notify the customer of exclusive products before they run out.
This is all for now, the website isn't finished by a long shot because I will include tons and tons of free content that is valuable.
To those with E-Commerce experience, whats missing? how can I optimize my SEO and bring in as much traffic as humanly possible? What suggestions do you have? How can I encourage them to want to buy the product, or as many products as possible? Thanks!

It's difficult to say because we can't see the site but my first impression is that your front page might need a redesign. Your "soothing and calm approach" might lose you customers. You have about 5 seconds to get their attention so if I were coming to your site to buy a product and had to comb through a lot of text to even get to see the product, I might abandon your site and go elsewhere. Internet buyers want to buy now, buy quickly and move on.

Hmmm interesting. Thanks, I'll look into that. It's not really a lot of text to comb over because the customer has to option to just click on the menu to look at stuff, but i get what you're saying.
I'll show the site when it launches.

No. They charge too much and paypal should suffice.
However, is there anything I should know about QuickShopping Cart?

If you just have a few products the paypal "buy now" button should suffice. But it seems you might need a more robust solution since you will be using multiple pictures per product?
