Your using eblog to collect information - full of advertisements. First off, your colors are terrible and hard on the eyes to read. Second, there is a *ton* of blog trend information already out there on the internet - all you have to do is google it.

You might want to try wordpress, it's generally considered more professional than blogspot/bogger.com and has a lot more options in terms of templates and color schemes you can use to customize the site.

I'm not a fan of the color scheme either. The small letters on the black background puts too much of a strain on my eyes to the point I don't want to read it. A blog no one wants to read isn't going to be a successful blog.

It is important to make your site more business-like. Therefore ask the university to provide you with some webspace on their servers. This is much more professional and allows you to surely attract more participants.
