Web-Collab/CRM : What do you use?
Hey guys,
New to the forum here, just wanted some insight from a few of my peers. I run a small business with a few office locations. I'm looking for a web-collaboration/CRM software to help out with my IT needs. I've looked into Salesforce.com, but they are far too expensive (around 70 dollars per user). It needs to have a strong instant messaging system, webmail, shared calendering, database, portals, etc. I am new to online software and so are all my employees, so customer service and user friendliness are a close second to the price of the software. Also, preferably US based. Please let me know what you use or have used in the past and how it worked out for you. Any feedback will be much appreciated.

sugar.crm is free and has the attributes you seem to want. I have an instance of sugar.crm located at http://computerserviceseh.com/sugar. If you're interested in looking at the insides, PM me and I'll set you up.

Roban,
Hey thanks a lot for the info, I went their homepage SugarCRM and i couldn't find a free version, just a free trial. Dug in a little more and it doesn't look like they have a full messaging system, by that i mean complete email hosting and archiving, webmail client, and instant messaging/chat. All of course at an affordable price. Searched a bunch of other web based systems and one that really caught my eye was Infostreet, Inc. They've got a full messaging service tied in with a bunch of other applications, and CRM for $10 per month. They also have a reseller program which interested me, so I can sell it to other companies and my reseller commission will underwrite my licensing costs
