    automating our website

    Hello.

I'm helping to start a small business in retail and we want to start a website. We're looking for some automated solutions that makes it easier to run the business online. 2 questions please

    1. Is there any popular ecommerce software we can use that helps with inventory management, web content management, processing orders, etc?

    2. Also, are there any companies that will manage the website? We need them to manage web content, update inventory, handle customer service issues, and process orders. It's mostly a desk job, but the owner doesn't want to sit behind a screen all day. Any good virtual assistants maybe? Thank you.

I don't want to sound like a self promoter, but take a look at my signature link. I think what you are looking for is exactly what we provide. The reason I say that is because we have automated merchandising, and because the products come from Amazon, a well respected brand, it's easier to make sales, plus they handle all the customer service. So, again, I think we might be what you've been looking for. Good luck with your search though.

    I have a solution

I am developing a software that might help you with your online business.
It's a marketing tool allowing you to see your visitors currently on the website, with useful informations about them (what they searched on google or other search engines, what country/state/city they are in, what page they are looking at (realtime) and many others). It also allows you to interact with them by chat.
So imagine seeing a list of visitors in our windows operator program, double clicking it and sending him a message like "how may i help you?".Then he gets the option to chat with you live in a chatbox that will open.

You can also have a little button sayin "live chat available" or "live chat offline" (in case you are not logged in on the console).

It's a very handy program, but it's stil not 100% complete.
I am looking for people to test it and ican give it to you for free for a couple of months until we get it on the market.
All I'm asking for is for you to give me some feedback with how the software performed (problems, suggestions, etc..)
I think it's a good idea and it will help you, especially when you are just starting up and your budget is limited.

Also if anyone else is interested, i can give you the software for free for now.

Contact me at besonix [at] gmail [dot] com in case you are interested.

Hi Besonix, take a look at providesupport.com solution. Their software works exactly how you described yours. They have a free trial that may give you some ideas on how to improve your own software.

Jamie... you want to outsource everything? Sounds expensive... if your product markup rate is high enough it will work... otherwise your budget is going to be incredibly tight as you start off. Are you also looking for a fulfillment center? There are plenty of those available. I always thought Amazon's fulfillment solution sounded tempting... if you use them you can offer your customers the same great shipping deals Amazon customers receive.

    I know my competitors

Believe me, I studied the market a lot.
My product is functional and will be superior to that.I'm just looking for testers.

I would even install it on their websites if they dont know how.
