    Yahoo Site Builder

    Hi guys

I've just used Yahoo Site Builder to create www.doubletaketools.com and unless I'm missing something it seems incredibly easy to use and produces good looking sites.

I haven't used any of the e-commerce functions yet and I know its not a true content management systme, but I'm pretty impressed.

I have another site called www.networkutilities.co.uk that I built in metadot and I feel it looks a little 'clunky'.

Just wondered what everyones views on Sitebuilder are?

    Thanks

Well basically, you get what you pay for. For a good looking professional site, hire a pro designer. Sitebuilder's basic look is bare bones. It may be functional, but it's little more than that.

Hello - I was actually just about to post a thread on Yahoo Merchant also. I'm wondering if anyone has used this product and can offer any feedback.

I spoke with one of their representatives and they said it is possible to build your own site from scratch and integrate it.

However, since I've never used this product before - I'm a little nervous recommending it to my clients.

Anyone have feedback on this product?

    Thanks!

Yahoo offers the cart / hosting / gateway through their company. It can be great for some people if they don't understand code. But if you understand code, you might see a lot of limitations.

And using their gateway, they charge on each transaction on top of what the merchant account provider will charge the merchant. So make sure that you can still make money on your store while hopefully beating out the other stores on Yahoo
