Looking for auction type open source software

I am looking for a open source program that will let multiple users list their own products but not manage or see other users products except as a buyer. Everything will be fixed price so it won't be a true auction. Essentially like ebay except everything has a buy it now price. I've considered trying to modify OS Commerce to have this functionality (I program in PHP) but wanted to see if anyone knew something out there that does this already.

    Programs with reviews propietary

The programs with reviews are propietary that charge. I hate the idea of buying somes product not knowing if it works and then having to customize and/or fix their bugs. At least with a good open source base I don't mind putting in the time.

Looking for eBay Auction type Open Source software

Hi, I too am looking for an Open Source Auction-type. However, unlike michaelh613, I am looking for ebay type of functionalities where members can post images, products' description, prices, bold title, include sub-title etc. Does anyone has any recommendations?

    Thanks very much.

I would prefer a Perl software instead of PHP (too many security holes in the SQL implementation of PHP and PHP itself). But this is a topic to discuss, I admit.

All in all it is recommended to hire a programmer that develops a piece of software with all the features you require. Hard to find a "ready-to-use" application in the open source world (nothing is free... ;-)
