Is Yahoo's Shopping Cart good?
I'm a EBay selling and am doing quite while but want to cut out the middleman (those high FVF's) and want to go on my own. I have looked for a shopping cart solution as well as a content management system. My web page will mostly just have things like articles on the industry I sell in, reviews of products, etc. and I am very happy with Joomla for that part of my business.
As for shopping cart, I have heard there is one that integrates with Joomla well but the problem is I'm so busy selling I haven't had time to work on my web site and I know I need to move on so I want something quick short term. I am thinking of a joomla based web site that links to a yahoo shopping cart. It seems their fee is $50 or so a month for a medium solution. I'm not sure if it feeds into google/froogle/google base. Their fees are just 1.5% which I like. It just seems I could get a basic site up with joomla and with time expand and quickly throw a yahoo shopping cart up to have something going in a few weeks at the most. With time maybe I'd go to another shopping cart solution or may find that Yahoo works best. I'm just looking for opinions on this.

You dont need Yahoo Stores. If you like Joomla, then stay with it. You can have the oscommerce plugin installed, or you can use what is like a prepackaged version called Virtuemart.
It already has the CMS and Cart together. Let me know if you have any questions about the cart system or have trouble quickly loading the products or data to the site.
