SEO (search engine optimization) is helpful for increasing the number of visitors on your website by getting the site to appear on a high level in the search engine result page. SEM is considered internet marketing that improves a visibility of a website through organic search engines results and advertising. SEM is paid marketing and SEO is not.

The main difference between SEM vs. SEO is that SEM is a paid strategy and SEO is an organic strategy. Like most things in the search industry, the definitions related to search marketing have evolved . Some marketers may consider SEM to be an umbrella term that includes both paid and organic strategies.

Over-provisioning dedicated server hardware for web and mobile applications can lead to better performance vs. shared hosting platforms based on virtualization with thousands of domain names active on a single server instance.
