Part time Job portal or Freelancing website. which one is better

I want to start a job portal website which either focus on part time jobs in software industry or small free lancing tasks. which option is better. I first want to start in Pakistan and then expand to UAE and other countries.
Also which payment stream is better, charging for job posting or charging from service providers
    Any advice appreciated?

    Are you familiar with:

    https://www.freelancer.com
    World's Largest Freelance Site

It'll probably be hard to compete with a well established company.

In the USA, there are more Jobs then there are People looking... So charging for the "job posting" would make the most sense here.

Focusing on freelancing tasks may scale faster, as demand for small projects is high. For revenue, charging service providers (freelancers) a percentage per job is often more sustainable than charging for job postings. This model incentivizes more listings and attracts clients.

Both options have their pros and cons. For a part-time job portal focused on the software industry, you'll be targeting a specific niche, which can help in building a more targeted and engaged audience. The software industry in countries like Pakistan and UAE has a growing demand for remote and part-time roles, so there's potential. However, competition in this space is growing as more people opt for freelance gigs. On the other hand, freelancing websites tend to have a broader audience, offering flexibility to users but can become too saturated, especially in a global market.

As for payment models, charging service providers (freelancers) can be more sustainable in the long run, as job posters typically expect free listings or pay minimal fees. Freelancers are usually more willing to pay a small fee for platforms that connect them with opportunities. Consider a hybrid model, where you charge for premium job postings and offer subscription or commission-based fees for freelancers to access job leads or premium features. Expanding later to other countries like UAE can help you diversify your revenue streams. Good luck!
