Hi All,

I would like to know if you guys refer to any books or articles to come up with your marketing strategy. I recently saw an article written by Catherine McManus from Small Business Marketing Consultant titled 7 Key Steps of Marketing Strategy, which I found to be quite useful.

Basically, here are the steps she used:

1) Understand Why Marketing Strategy Is Important and plan your marketing process accordingly.

2) Category Definition & Concept Definition: What market or category are you in? Have you labelled your product or service in a way that others will naturally understand? Be specific and be simple.

3) Customer Targeting: Know your target audience and don't be shy to explore niche marketing.

4) Why Brand Positioning is Important: Where does your product or service fit in its category and market?

5) Understand Your Market Competitors: Competitive analysis is essential in marketing. Study your competitors to see what they offer and how it compares to your product or service.

6) What USP Stands For And Why You Should Care: USP stands for Unique Selling Point; it is what sets you apart and should be something that your target customer values.

7) Market Development Strategy: Explore various distribution channels, such as direct, multi-channel, or international.

I hope you find it useful just as I did!

If you guys have any other recommendations or methods regarding marketing strategy, please let me know.
