Where do I start in upgrading my eCommerce solution?

Hello, I have owned and operated a golf league, The Golf Fellowship, for 18 years in San Antonio, Austin, DFW & Houston. I have been using GoDaddy's website builder and eCommerce platform to sell memberships, events and merchandise. It has sufficed but has very little flexibility. I have a wish list to upgrade, but don't really know where to begin. I'd like to be able to consult with someone who could get me started in the right direction for my needs which are as follows:

    - Membership site that allows members to log in and have a personalized experience and access/pricing based on their membership level
    - Subscription options with auto-renewal
    - A wallet system that allows members to deposit funds to use towards website purchases for events and merchandise, as well as TGF being able to add to their credit/wallet from winnings they have
    - Integration with Venmo
    - Digital Membership Card they can present to partners for discounts, etc.

    More
    - Ultimately want to connect statistics to membership profile

I don't know if all of these items are available already in Shopify or WooCommerce, or other, but I want to talk with a 3rd party developer before buying in to one of those. Any advice? Referrals?

To start upgrading your eCommerce solution, focus on evaluating your current system's performance and identifying areas for improvement. Upgrading your eCommerce solution can feel overwhelming, but breaking it into clear steps helps. Here?s where to start :

    1. Evaluate Your Current Platform - Is it fast, mobile-friendly, and scalable? Are customers dropping off at checkout? Are integrations (payment, CRM, shipping) smooth or clunky?

    2. Define Your Business Goals - Do you want to improve site speed, conversion rates, inventory management, or multichannel selling? Identify pain points (e.g., slow load time, limited payment options).

    3. Explore Modern Platforms - Consider flexible, scalable platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or Magento (for large-scale needs). Look into headless commerce if you need advanced customization.

    4. Ensure Mobile Optimization - Over 60% of eCommerce traffic comes from mobile devices?responsive design is a must.

    5. Integrate Key Tools - CRM, AI chatbots (like Botbuz), analytics, email marketing, inventory and shipping. Think omnichannel: connect your store with WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, etc.

    6. Enhance UX/UI - Simplify navigation, improve product pages and speed up your checkout process.

    7. Set a Migration Plan - Backup data, plan for redirects, test everything and minimize downtime during migration.

I?d recommend reaching out to a freelance developer with WooCommerce experience first, way more flexible than Shopify for the kind of features you need.
