Resource and documentation management strategies
I juggle resource and documentation management challenges as a small business owner. Probably we all do, or at least most of us. Balancing project deadlines with limited resources is tough. I've been exploring project management techniques that help prioritize crucial tasks without overworking the team. The goal is to boost productivity and employee satisfaction, which is very important to me. On top of that, keeping product documentation up to date is, well, frustrating at the very least, especially with constant updates. High-quality documentation is crucial for user onboarding, support, and retention. I'm considering automating documentation to streamline the process. Any advice on effectively managing resources and maintaining documentation quality? How do you balance these aspects in your businesses?

I totally understand where you're coming from. Managing resources and keeping documentation current is a constant struggle for me, too (SaaS). I've found that resource smoothing really helps. We follow these methods and aim to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines without burning out. As for the other one, our current strategy is to automate documentation with a screenshot api. We started implementing this approach in February, and it's working quite well. It keeps our product guides up-to-date with minimal manual effort, which frees up time for other tasks. So far, it seems these strategies have improved our workflow and team morale. We have yet to research and compare a few relevant metrics, but it looks promising. We want to check and compare productivity, time management, and overall employee engagement and satisfaction. I shared some reading material not to make this post an essay. Hope you find it helpful.
