How do you monitor a web page for changes?
So far, I've been using Google Alerts and Google Analytics plus one browser extension but I want to improve and automate this process. I want to actively monitor my website's performance across different browsers and devices to prevent potential issues. And to make sure we're staying compliant with laws/regulations. Also, I want to explore beyond just monitoring my own website and start tracking my competitors' online presence. I want to keep an eye on their design changes and content updates and get insights for adjusting my own marketing strategies. Any tips or resources would be greatly appreciated. *There are around 20 websites at the moment that I want to examine/monitor so I would prefer an automated solution that also allows me to keep an archive.

The way I monitor website changes is automated and fairly easy to set. I use a tool that automatically screenshots the page(s) in question. As for tracking, the tool creates a screenshot archive, so it's quite handy. You want to start with 20 pages, that's a decent number, but you might want to expand it as your business grows or simply to get more comparison material. Either you do it or not, I would recommend considering this before choosing a method/tool. I hate changing everything from scratch so I try to think ahead. If you want an immediate alert on changes you will need to use a service or create your own bot.
You can actually use HARPA AI from the chrome extension store. Its going to help you a lot with this and with assessing their web pages. There version that you can use without a chat gpt api that will give you a good idea of how well it works.
For deeper tracking I know SEMrush and Ahrefs are up there they are all we have.
Their tracking is all based n estimation of how much traffic a particular ranking keyword SHOULD get. So its not very accurate. But again its about the best we have.
