To protect your data form any type of loss, you have to pay attention to a few things-
1. Always keep an anti-virus in your system.
2. Do not open the link in any kind of email.
3. Do not open the mail in an unknown device.
4. Stop mail immediately when not in use.
5. Avoid using public Wi-Fi.

Tip #5 - Be careful what you click.
Tip #6 - Never leave devices unattended.
Tip #7 - Safeguard Protected Data.
